Retail. eCommerce. Fashion.
After graduating from Queen's Commerce in 2014, I discovered the wonderful world of retail at Walmart Canada in their new graduate leadership program. Following successful completion of the program, I held progressive roles in apparel merchandising and analytics.
Most recently, I completed a pre-MBA internship at BRIKA, a retail startup based in Toronto.
I field a lot of questions from students and young professionals on everything from networking to recruiting to early careers and beyond.
After one particular coffee chat, a mentee suggested I start documenting my tips - that's how I got started in writing articles and blog posts for various publications.
Recently, my work has been featured on Forbes, Business Insider, Newsweek, The Muse, TalentEgg.ca and Best Health. You can read me here.
Women in Business. Health & Fitness. Side Hustling.
Advancing women in the workplace has been a long term passion, while health and fitness have been a more recent part of my journey. I brought these two things together to start Smart Girls Sweat, a "sweatworking" (networking + working out) event series in Toronto. As a result, I was named a Top 100 Influencer in Health and Fitness in OptiMYz Magazine.
More recently, I co-founded femBA, an editorial platform for sharing authentic stories and honest conversations about young professional women in business school, at work, and beyond.
